Musical-theater work at ASU to celebrate 4 black women

The Core Ensemble — Tahirah Whittington, cello; Hugh Hinton, piano; Michael Parola, percussion; and actress Taylore Mahogany Scott — will perform Ain’t I a Woman, a new musical-theater work by Kim Hines about the lives of four black women for actress and chamber music trio, at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday in Riceland Hall, Arkansas State University’s Fowler Center, 201 Olympic Drive, Jonesboro.
