A Greene County constable has filed a lawsuit against the county judge and Quorum Court, seeking compensation for a position that has gone unpaid for more than 60 years.

It seems like this fool thinks running around and playing cops and robbers is a full time job. The constable needs to be eliminated in the state of Arkansas. Most of them are people who have been black balled by law enforcement community.

Who knows if the story is correct...This paper has a habit to report only a few facts and not the entire story...I am sure there is more to this story..but to get headlines we get the water down version or the version they want us to believe.

They should eliminate this position all together. Most of the idiots are hot heads that have no business with a badge let alone a gun. They're dangerous, have no formal training and shouldn’t be allowed on the street. These yahoos are what get good cops killed.

You guys need to do some studying. Constables by law are supposed to be paid. Constables by law must attend training and fire arm training. You guys want to call him a yahoo playing cop, but you don't even know the law or anything about constables. Do your home work first. How would you feel if the local police were busy and you had to sit there and watch your place get robbed because the constable can't get his expenses to have equipment to help you? These guys pay out of their own pocket to protect morons like you that talk before knowing the facts.

I agree. Always some idiot that thinks he knows something but is too lazy to research the topic.
Constables are needed or they would not remain even after recent attacks on the position by some legislators.
