PAPERS FILLED WITH ‘BAD NEWS’ DEPENDS ON PERSPECTIVE

The story on the front page reported that the Taliban fighters in Afghanistan were increasingly using women and children as shields, all the while firing at U.S. and Afghan forces. Soldiers and journalists reported gunfire from compounds where women and children can clearly be seen on rooftops and windows.
