After 45 minutes of side-splitting laughs from a ballroom full of 850 women dressed in red, comedic writer Lisa Smartt delivered a serious message perhaps more memorable than her funny stories: “Be kinder than necessary, for everyone you meet is fighting some kind of battle.”
