Oasis Schedules ‘Find Your Way Home’
SESSIONS FEATURE NASHVILLE PROGRAM’S FOUNDER

Oasis of Northwest Arkansas, a nonprofit organization collaborating with others to provide hospitality and refuge to (near) homeless women and children, will host informational programs Fridayand Saturday.
Titled “Find Your Way Home,” the workshops will be conducted at First United Methodist Church in Bella Vista.
The event is co-sponsored by American Association of University Women and theCenter for Psychology of NWA.
OASIS of NWA leaders have decided that development of a cottage industry for/with potential clients will be a key to their transition from near homelessness to self-suff ciency. Currently, the cottage industry vision is named “Women’s Work.”
Friday’s presentation begins at 6:30 p.m. The Rev. BeccaStevens, founding director of Magdalene Inc. and the Thistle Farms cottage industry in Nashville, Tenn., will discuss the story behind those enterprises. Stevens and a couple of residents/clients will tell their story of successful rehabilitation for women living on the streets of Nashville.
A panel discussion and workshop is planned for 9 a.m. Saturday. Stevens,women from Magdalene and representative from Northwest Arkansas agencies and other community partners will discuss “A Cottage Industry with (near) Homeless Women in Northwest Arkansas.”
There is no charge to attend the sessions.
