If there is a follow-up to this story please: Check out the number of students at HH--the most recent estimates put the number at 350--not 400--why remodel for 600, where is the growth? Next--why is the district paying construction consultants and architects when they are so far off on this bid? The SB approved $7 million to remodel the school--and now, to get back on budget, they need to get rid of 9,000 square feet or 8 classrooms? If it's really a street construction project, where is the city? This either nuts or a we're not getting the story straight. Where's a quote from a school board member?

Whaaaa? Eliminating eight classrooms decreases the total capacity by one hundred students? That's 12.5 students per room-- sounds like a cubicle farm. And how does eliminating 12% of the square footage save some 23% of the construction cost?

I'm with the skeptics on this one.
