Aldermen are scheduled to discuss Tuesday the renovation of the aging Rogers Fire Department Emergency Training Center.

The training center was built in 1997 by Oakridge Construction, the same company that built the department's Station 5. Oakridge is no longer in business.

Station 5 underwent a major renovation in 2008 because of water leaks that caused mold. There is a similar situation at the training center, said David Hooks, facilities development manager for the city.

"There is no insulation in the roof, the water leaks have rusted parts of the metal building and there is mold growing as well," Hooks said.
