Georgena Anderson

SPRINGDALE — Georgena Anderson, 49, of Springdale died Feb. 3, 2010, in Rogers. She was born May 19, 1960, in Springdale to Doyle and Dolores Anderson. She graduated Springdale High School in 1978. She was a beautician working in Dallas and later in Springdale. She attended Berry Street Baptist Church.

She is survived by her mother, Dolores Anderson of Springdale; one brother, Randall Anderson and wife, Lori, of Allen, Texas; and two nieces, Brittney and Brooke Anderson.

Graveside services will be 9:30 a.m. Monday, Feb. 8, 2010 at Friendship Cemetery. Arrangements are by Sisco Funeral Chapel of Springdale.

Visitation will be Sunday from 2 to 3 p.m. at the funeral home.

Calvin Edmondson

WALKER, La. — Calvin Junior Edmondson, 80, of Walker, La., died Feb. 1, 2010, at his home.

He was born Dec. 2, 1929, in Goshen, the son of Isaac “Ike” and Sophie Starr Edmondson. He was preceded in death by his wife, Dorris Elizabeth Edmondson, Sept. 19, 1992; a grandson, Zack Fredrick; and a great-granddaughter, Lyla Sanderson.

He was retired from Tyson Foods, and he was a Baptist.

He is survived by five daughters, Sandra Carpenter, Sharon Glass, Karen Dunaway and Helen Glenn, all of Walker, La., and Patricia Pelto of Dardanelle; 11 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews.

Graveside service was 11 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 4, at Fairview Memorial Gardens under the direction of Moore’s Chapel. Officiating was Tommy Glenn.

Jack Ray Johnson

PINEVILLE, Mo. — Jack Ray Johnson, 74, of Pineville, Mo., died Wednesday, Feb. 3, 2010, at Northwest Medical Center in Bentonville, Ark. He was born on Aug. 13, 1935, in Jane, Mo., to Clint Johnson and Celia Harmon Johnson.

He retired from Jones Truck Lines after 34 years as a truck driver. He owned a cattle farm for over 45 years. He loved to hunt, fish, and travel in the R.V., and spend time with family and the grandkids.

He is survived by his wife, Gayla Johnson of Jane, Mo.; one son, Jeff Johnson and wife, Andrea, of Jane, Mo.; one daughter, Julie Allman and husband, Mark, of Anderson, Mo.; and three grandchildren, Kelsey, Miranda and Lily.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 5, 2010, at the Bella Vista Funeral Home, 2258 Forest Hills Blvd., Bella Vista, Ark.

A funeral service will be at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 6, 2010, at the Bella Vista Funeral Home with Hank Gorman officiating.

A private burial will be held at a later date.

Oliver Delery

NEW ORLEANS — Retired Judge Oliver Stanislaus Livaudais Delery passed away in New Orleans on Saturday, Jan. 23, 2010, at age 85 following a brief illness. Judge Delery was judge of Division D of the Traffic Court of New Orleans for 32 years. He was born in New Orleans on May 23, 1924, raised in St. Bernard Parish and, along with his brothers, was a boarder at St. Paul’s School in Covington. It was there and at the side of his grandfather, Judge Oliver S. Livaudais, that he developed his sense of duty to his fellow man. After St. Paul’s, he continued his education at Loyola University of the South and LSU.

He was a devoted Catholic and a Knight of St. Gregory, a recipient of the Order of St. Louis Medal, Archdiocese of New Orleans, a past board member and vice-president of the National Council of the Society of St. Vincent de Paul and a past board member of the Associated Catholic Charities of New Orleans and a first vice-president of the National Conference of Catholic Charities.

In 1955 he was the founding president of Ozanam Inn Hospice for Men. He was active in the operations until his later years but remained connected until his death. He was also a recipient of the Institute for Human Understanding 10 Outstanding Persons Award. The Times-Picayune Doll and Toy Fund was also a favorite cause. He was an executive committee member and served as its chairman.

Judge Delery was a past president of the American Judges Association and The Louisiana City Court Judges Association. He was admitted to practice before the United States Supreme Court, Court of Military Appeals, United States Court of Appeals, Fifth Circuit and the United States District Court, Eastern District of Louisiana.

A retired Lt. Commander in the U.S. Navy, he remained in the reserves where he was a pilot for over 20 years. He took great pride that his grandson and namesake, Oliver S. Delery III, is currently a member of the Navy ROTC at Ole Miss.

Judge Delery loved New Orleans and especially Mardi Gras. He was a member of several krewes and was honored to be selected as king by several of them. He was a member of the Bienville Club, the Plimsoll Club, the Round Table Club, the New Orleans Country Club and the Southern Yacht Club.

At the time of his death, Judge Delery was president of the Borgnemouth Realty Company, Ltd. and a manager of the Livaudais Lands LLC. He was a past president or board member of many organizations, including the Society of the War of 1812, the Society of the Sons and Daughters of the Founders of New Orleans, France-Amerique de la Louisiane, Valencia, Inc., St. Matthias Parish School Board and Parish Council, Incarnate Word Parish Council, St. Francis Xavier St. Vincent de Paul Society, New Orleans Junior Chamber of Commerce, Christian Brothers Foundation, Academy of the Sacred Heart, and Holman Vocational Center. He was a member of the Military Order of the World Wars and the Equestrian Order of the Holy Sepulechre of Jerusalem. He was also a member of many committees relating to traffic courts and criminal justice on the local, state, and national level.

He is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Winifred Kelly Delery; and their five children, Winifred (“Wendy”) Delery Hills (John) of Fayetteville, Oliver Stanislaus Delery Jr. (Susan Fromherz), Anne Delery Comarda, and Joyce Mary Delery, all of New Orleans, and John Edouard Delery (Susan Shackelford) of Fayetteville. He also leaves behind 10 grandchildren: Kelly Christian Comarda (fiancee Lauren Milone) of Claremore, Okla., Amy Elizabeth Comarda, Jennifer Anne Comarda, Julie Eleanor Comarda, Oliver Stanislaus Delery III, and Charlotte Villars Delery, all of New Orleans, and Robert Fleury Hills, John Anthony Shackelford Delery, William James Delery and Michael Jennings Delery, all of Fayetteville. He is survived by his sister, Noel Delery Donovan Stuart of LaJolla, Calif.; and his brother, A. Thomas Delery of Baton Rouge, La.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Louis John and Noel Livaudais Delery; and his siblings, Louis J. Delery Jr., Elaine Delery Guillory, Edward J. Delery and Richard Delery.

He is also survived by his devoted friend Malcolm Johnson.

Angela Atterberry

COLORADO — Angela Dawn Netherton Atterberry, 39, of Colorado died Jan. 27, 2010, in Colorado. She was born Aug. 12, 1970, in Rogers to James and Frances Grimes Netherton. She was a homemaker.

She is survived by her husband, Boyd Atterberry of Colorado; one son, Tristan Atterberry of Winslow; two daughters, Robyn Atterberry and Rachel Netherton, both of Winslow; her parents of Winslow; three brothers, Bradley Netherton of Bentonville, James Netherton of Bethel Heights and Westley Netherton of Winslow; two sisters, Temple Ashbaugh of Chester and Kellie Chacanaca of Johnson; and grandparents, Vada Netherton of Fayetteville and Betty Halderman of Rogers.

Graveside services will be 10 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 6, 2010, at Elm Springs Cemetery with Jeff Netherton officiating. Services are under the direction of Sisco Funeral Chapel of Springdale.

There will be no visitation.
