A new era will begin this year for the Walmart Visitors Center, which will expand into the historic Terry Block Building on the Bentonville square.

Plans will be displayed in light boxes on the exterior walls of the Terry Block Building, so the community can see the future, said Alan Dranow, Wal-Mart director of brand communication. His responsibilities include the center at 105 N. Main St.

Dranow revealed the expansion Thursday night at the Bentonville/Bella Vista Chamber of Commerce dinner, held at the Clarion Hotel and Convention Center in Bentonville.

The three-story Terry Block Building, at the intersection of West Central Avenue and Main Street, is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
