Pilgrim’s tactics realize a profit

’09’s end yields $33.6 million

Pilgrim’s Pride Corp. reported a net income of $33.6 million for the last three months of 2009, a result of increased focus on efficiency and two onetime charges related to the company’s bankruptcy and reorganization, company officials said Thursday.
