National Signing Day
The recruiting world was up early Wednesday as players from around the nation began sending in their letters of intent with college teams. It was the first day recruits can officially sign with universities, and Razorbacks coaches are expecting to sign more than 20 high school athletes.
By 11 a.m., Arkansas has received nearly 15 commitments, including letters of intent from S Darrell Smith, WR Julian Horton, P/K Eddie Camara and RB/LB Braylon Mitchell. Arkansas also picked up OU commit Jarrett Lake.

Arkansas gained a late oral commitment this week from Russellville punter/kicker Zach Hocker. Hocker was expected to sign with Arkansas State, but that all changed over a 12-hour period Sunday and Monday.
Little Rock Catholic tight end Garrett Uekman, 6-4, 240, 4.7, signed with the Razorbacks in front of family, friends, classmates and coaches at a ceremony in the school gymnasium. Signing satisfies a longtime goal for Uekman, who said he's been a Razorbacks fan since he was little.

"It's my dream - I've always wanted to play there," he said. "They have a great coaching staff, great facilities. I just wanted to be a part of it."
The Razorbacks are expecting to sign another athlete from Arkansas as well today. Heber Springs running back/linebacker Braylon Mitchell, 6-2, 210, 4.56, is scheduled to sign with the Razorbacks at 10 a.m. today.
Meanwhile, Little Rock Christian tight end Dakota Mosley decided to stay with the Auburn Tigers, where he and teammate Michael Dyer will sign with today at noon at Little Rock Christian.
Arkansas is still awaiting word on two highly touted offensive linemen from Olive Branch, Miss., Shon Coleman and Damien Robinson. Coleman, 6-7, 285, 5.3, is expected to choose between Arkansas, Auburn and Alabama. Robinson, 6-8, 330, 5.2, will likely choose Arkansas or Mississippi State.
