TAKING FLIGHT: High Hopes At Airport

RUNWAY EXTENSION, TURNING SPACE EXPECTED TO INCREASE BUSINESS

Justen Jones with the Rick McGenty Company of Greenbriar installs electrical conduit Wednesday along the additional 345 feet of runway at the Bentonville Municipal Airport. Officials expect the airport to open Monday after a one week closing to complete the resurfacing and addition to the runway.

City administrators hope a runway extension and extra space to turn airplanes around will increase traffic at the Bentonville Municipal Airport-Louise M. Thaden Field.
