Police Investigate Attempted Kidnapping

— Police are looking for a suspect in an attempted kidnapping that happened Friday.

About 11:53 a.m., a man tried to pull a 13-year-old boy into his car at a McDonald’s restaurant at 903 W. Walnut St., said Wayne Schoch, a spokesman for the Rogers Police Department.

The boy pulled away and went back into the restaurant unharmed, Schoch said.

The man is described as 6 feet tall and 200 pounds, wearing a Charles Barkley basketball jersey, shorts and tennis shoes.

A woman in the man’s car had gray hair, Schoch said. He said the man’s vehicle was a two-door car from the 1990s.

Schoch said the boy did not recognize the man.

He said there have been no reports of other similar incidents.

Anyone with information about the attempted kidnapping should call Rogers police at 479-636-4141, Schoch said.
