Fewer Foreclosure Filings
Local numbers decline but plenty still in pipeline

Every day in July another 64 households in Benton and Washington counties languished in the foreclosure pipeline, a process that can take more than a year to complete.
Residential Foreclosures
The number of homes affected by July filings compared to a year ago.
• 325,229 in the United States, down 9 percent
• 1,974 in Arkansas, down 12.3 percent
• 418 in Benton County, down 15.9 percent
• 345 in Washington County, down 36.3 percent
• 4 in Madison County, up 33 percent
• 7 in Carroll County, up 250 percent
• 3 in McDonald County, Mo., unchanged
