Obama taps Holmes for district judge
Senate now must confirm attorney from Fort Smith

President Barack Obama has nominated P.K. Holmes III of Fort Smith to be the next U.S. district judge for the Western District of Arkansas. The vacancy was created when District Judge Robert T. Dawson took senior status in August.
