Richardson to coach potential WNBA team

— Former University of Tulsa and University of Arkansas basketball coach Nolan Richardson was introduced Tuesday at the BOK Center as coach and general manager of a WNBAfranchise in Tulsa should the city secure a team.

Richardson, who will be coming out of retirement to coach the team, believes a major league franchise in Tulsa would have a significant impact on the community and the surrounding area.

"This would be a winwin situation for Tulsa and the state of Oklahoma," Richardson said. "These are the best female athletes in the world and, more importantly, these women would be excellent role models for the area's youth."
