— Companies reporting quarterly earnings Tuesday included:

Walgreen Co., the second-largest U.S. drugstore chain, reported fourth-quarter net income fell 1.6 percent to $436 million, or 44 cents a share, from $443 million, or 45 cents, a year earlier. Revenue rose 7.6 percent to $15.7 billion. Shares rose $3.16, or 9.2 percent, to $37.35.

Nike Inc., the world's largest athletic-shoe maker, said first-quarter net income advanced to $513 million, or $1.04 a share, from $510.5 million, or $1.03 a share, a year earlier. Revenue dropped 12 percent to $4.8 billion. Shares gained $1.09, or 1.8 percent, on Tuesday, but the earnings were released after markets closed.
