BHS wins two against Fayetteville

— Both of Bentonville's tennis teams earned two wins against Fayetteville on Tuesday. The schools completed a weather-delayed match from earlier this season in Fayetteville as well as a regularly scheduled match at the Kingsdale Tennis Center.

The Tigers won by scores of 5-4 and 6-3. The Lady Tigers won 7-2 and 7-2. Both teams are still unbeaten this season.

Coach Paul Pautsch is, of course, pointing his teams to the 7A-West Conference Championships on Oct. 12-13.

The girls seem set, he says. The boys are a different story because of a glut of talented players.

"Still don't know what I'm going to do as far as our boys," Pautsch says. "And that's just because we don't really have a strong No. 1 guy but everybody is pretty strong, know what I mean? (Fayetteville coach) Darin Phelan and I were talking and he was saying we're just so deep it's almost impossible to beat you guys."
