Daniel Andrew Campbell faces multiple felonies.

— A Bentonville man pleaded not guilty to charges accusing him of sexually assaulting a 13-year-old girl and recording inappropriate images of her.

Daniel Andrew Campbell, 27, is charged with sexual assault in the second degree, a class B felony; video voyeurism, a class D felony; and distributing, possessing or viewing matter depicting sexually explicit conduct involving a child, a class C felony. He entered his plea during an arraignment before Circuit Judge Robin Green.

Campbell was arrested Aug. 24 after Bentonville police began an investigation after receiving a report from the state child-abuse hotline concerning Campbell's admission to inappropriately touching a 13-year-old girl.

Campbell is accused of not only sexually assaulting the girl but using a video camera to record the girl as she undressed. He is also accused of possessing a video depicting a nude minor.

Campbell's jury trial is scheduled for Feb. 2. Pretrial hearings in the case are set for Dec. 14 and Feb. 2.

He was released from the Benton County Jail after posting $2,500 bond.

If convicted, Campbell could receive a sentence of five to 20 years for the sexual assault; from three to 10 years for the class C felony; and up to six years for the video voyeurism.
