— Students named Honors College fellows

From a field of 493 applicants, 75 outstanding high school seniors werechosen to join the eighth class of Honors College fellows at the University of Arkansas. Each student will receive a total of $50,000 over four years tocover tuition, room and board, as well as the cost of books and a computer. The funds can also be combined with Honors College research and studyabroad grants to broaden educational opportunities.

Area students named to the UA Honors College Fellows Class of 2013:

◊ Fayetteville High School: Emily Delong, Brendan Ho, Alex Jones, Matt Owens, Erin Piepenbrok and Gayatri Suresh.

◊ Siloam Springs High School: Jacob Lee.

◊Har-Ber High School: Kaila Pianalto.
