Poultry 101 workshop begins Tuesday

— Poultry 101, a threeday, hands-on workshop, will be held Tuesday through Thursday at the Center of Excellence for Poultry Science on the University of Arkansas'Fayetteville campus. The workshop is designed to introduce participants to production and processing factors that impact final product quality, safety and consistency.

Casey Owens, associate professor poultry processing and products forthe poultry science department, is hosting the workshop. Other organizers for the event include Christine Alvarado with Texas Tech University and Shelly McKee of Auburn University.
