FAYETTEVILLE — The Event Place was the setting at 6:30 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 19, for the marriage of Melanie Caitlin Pair and Chad Alan Haney. Prairie Grove Mayor Charles D. "Sonny" Hudson officiated.
Parents of the bride are Carol and Murphy Pair of Prairie Grove. She is the granddaughter of Marjorie and the late Robert Payne and Paul W. and the late Modell Pair, all of Fort Smith.
Mary and Bruce Haney of Glenpool, Okla., are the bridegroom's parents. His grandparents are Lois and the late Lester Koenig of Plymouth, Neb., and the late Barbara and Robert Haney of Farmington.
Given in marriage by her parents, the bride wore a white satin organza-draped gown with a sweetheart neckline and corset back. The ruched bodice fell into a draped pick-up skirt and chapel-length train embellished with crystal beading and lace. She wore a twotiered veil with a sequined edge and carried a bouquet of white Casablanca lilies and white Eskimo roses tied with a turquoise satin ribbon.
Lauren Bylow of Little Rock was matron of honor and Tatyana Pair of Fayetteville was the bridesmaid. They wore different styles of black, sleeveless kneelength dresses and carried smaller versions of thebride's bouquet.
Best man was Aaron Higgins of Fayetteville, cousin of the bridegroom. Jared Haney, also of Fayetteville, was his brother's groomsman. They also seated guests.
For the reception, the entrance to The Event Place was draped with turquoise and white tulle. Tables were covered with white linens and turquoise runners and topped with white roses and floating candles.
White paper lanterns and turquoise glass balls were suspended from the ceiling. Reception music was by Joe Giles and the Homewreckers.
The bride graduated from the University of Arkansas with a bachelor's degree in nursing and is a registered nurse at Washington Regional Medical Center in Fayetteville.
The bridegroom graduated from Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah, with a bachelor's degree in fine arts and communication. He is an advertising account representative at Game On Promotions in Fayetteville.
The couple will reside in Springdale after a wedding trip to Cozumel, Mexico.
