Lincoln looking for Watchdog dads

FAYETTEVILLE — Lincoln Elementary School will hold a pizza night event Tuesday to help recruit volunteers for its Watchdog Dad program.

Rob Nix, Watchdog program coordinator, said the event will start at 6 p.m. in the school cafeteria. The program encourages dads of school students to visit their child's school and volunteer at least once during the year.

This is the second year of the program at Lincoln Elementary, Nix said. Last year, the school had 45 Watchdog Dad volunteers. Nix said they would like to double that to at least 90 Watchdog dads.
