BHS to hold blood drive Oct. 26

— A Halloween-themed blood drive is being held at Bentonville High School and the community is invited to participate, the BHS Student Council announced Friday.

The blood drive is through the Community Blood Center of the Ozarks and will be from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Oct. 26 in the Arend Arts Center lobby.

The council sponsors two blood drives every year, but this is the first time that parents and the community have been invited to participate, Vice President Katie Lee said. President Ben Nichols added the school always has had successful blood drives and the council is trying to increase that success.

"The community gives a lot to BHS and this is our way of giving back," Nichols said.
