Another dose of Cyrus

— Miley Cyrus The Time of OurLives Hollywood Records Inc.

BDear assigner of CD reviews,Didn't I just review a Miley Cyrus CD this summer? (Remember someone stole the disc - no, I did not fake that, but what a genius idea - in a veryun-Disney-like way and, lucky for me, the label had sent you a spare?) And before that, didn't I just review one this spring?

Oh, so those albums were by Cyrus as Hannah Montana for the TV show/movie soundtracks? And this soldexclusively-at-Wal-Mart extended play CD is by Cyrus as the real-life girl? (She's still only 16, even if her teen award show pole dance and VH1 Divas induction fishnets makeher seem older.) And it's only seven songs long? OKaaay.

Maybe the shrill "Kicking and Screaming" had me doing both. And maybe strained ballads "When I Look at You" and "Obsessed" seem a bit big for Cyrus' voice and life experi

ence. ("I just

had to call

you up and

say hello. I

know it's 3

a.m.") Miley,

it's a school,

er, private

tutoring

night!

But

"Time of

Our Lives"

and "Talk

Is Cheap"are supremely treadmill-worthy. "Party in the U.S.A." is a fiesta I never want to leave.

And either I've listened to entirely too much Cyrus lately, or "Before the Storm," a live duet with the Jonas Brothers, suggests that Cyrus might be the next Stevie Nicks.

Yeah, I've listened to entirely too much Cyrus lately.
