- ARKANSAS DEMOCRAT-GAZETTE Solar energy tours scheduled
The American Solar Energy Society will have two legs of its National Solar Tour Saturday and Oct. 3 in Northwest Arkansas.
Two Northwest Arkansas buildings - the Stitt Energy Systems office, located at 1301 S. Eighth St. in Rogers and a residence at 10068 Sun Ridge Circle near Rogers - will be open to the public from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturday.
The Stitt Energy office has recently been renovated and expanded to include solar technology. The home on Sun Ridge Circle is part of the new energy-planned community, South Sun Estates on the Lake, on Beaver Lake.
On Oct. 3, the tour will begin at 10 a.m. at the Shewmaker Center auditorium at Northwest Arkansas Community College in Bentonville and will include homes in Bentonville, Rogers, Lowell, Pea Ridge and Gravette.
