— Northwest & North-Central Arkansas BEAVER As of Wednesday, the lake was at 1,120.8 feet, a few inches below normal level.

Southtown Sporting Goods said bream are slow, but a few have been caught on crickets and worms. Crappie, too, are slow, with just a few being caught around 12 feet deep on tube jigs, minnows and trolled Hot-N-Tots.

Bass are slow. Catfish are fair on chicken livers and prepared baits.

Hook, Line & Sinker said water temperatures are in the mid-70s and bass are moving to the shallows. Action is fair on a variety of lures including spinner baits, buzz baits, crank baits, football jigs and finesse worms on Carolina rigs or shaky heads.

There's also some action on topwaters such as Zara Spooks early and late or under overcast skies. Crappie, too, are moving out of their summer depths and are fair on jigs and minnows fished 8-20 feet deep around brush - shallow in the river arms and deeper on the main lake.

Stripers remain fair on topwaters and live bait, particularly in early morning hours and under overcast skies. Catfish are fair on trotlines or jugs rigged with live bait or chicken livers, and bream are fair on crickets and worms.

BEAVER TAILWATERS Just Fishing Guides said spin-cast anglers are taking trout on Rebel crank baits, Trout Krilla and Power Bait. Top fly patterns are scuds and sow bugs (olive, gray or tan) fished under an indicator. Nymph patterns including Copper Johns, Red Johns and BWO nymphsalso are productive.

BELLA VISTA LAKES Hook, Line & Sinker said bass are fair on small topwaters, spinner baits, finesse jigs and shaky-head finesse worms. Bream are fair on crickets and worms. There was no report on catfish or crappie.

BULL SHOALS As of Wednesday, the lake was at 656.9 feet, about a foot above normal level.

Bull Shoals Boat Dock had no report.

BULL SHOALS TAILWATERS His Place Resort said generation is inconsistent but generally weak and trout action is good. Bait fishermen are favoring soft-shelled crawfish, sculpins, shrimp, nightcrawlers and redworms. Nitro worms in hot pink and chartreuse Power Bait also are working well.

Spin fishermen are scoring with small Buoyant Spoons Rapala Countdowns (sizes 3 or 5). Top fly patterns are olive or brown Woolly Buggers, pink San Juan Worms, beadhead midges and various Copper John-style patterns.

Sportsman's White River Resort said dingy water is hampering trout action, although a few fish can be caught on Power Bait or sculpins.

KINGS RIVER As of Wednesday morning, the river level was at 6.6 feet on the gauge at Berryville but falling toward a betterlevel for floating by the weekend.

Guide J.D. Fletcher said bass are good on spinner baits and tubes in shades of green or brown. Zoom Super Flukes rigged weightless also are producing both smallmouth and spotted bass.

LAKE FAYETTEVILLE Lake Fayetteville Boat Dock said the water is murky and a little high. Bream and crappie are slow. Bass are fair on topwaters. A few catfish can be caught on worms.

NORFORK As of Wednesday, the lake was at 556.6 feet, nearly 3 feet above normal level.

101 Grocery and Bait said surface temperatures are in the mid-70s. Crappie are good in 20-25 feet of water around brush piles on minnows. Bream are good on crickets and worms. Bass are good early and late in the day.

Catfish are good on nightcrawlers rigged on trotlines. Stripers are fair on spoons fished near the dam. Walleye are good on nightcrawlers.

NORFORK TAILWATERS Berry Brothers Guide Service said White River Zig Jigs are producing a few trout between River Ridge Resort and the Bill Ackerman Access. Elsewhere, the water is dingy and action is slow.

SEQUOYAH Lake Sequoyah Boat Dock said the lake is high and dingy. Bream are fair on worms and crickets fished 4-8 feet deep. Crappie are fair at the same depths on minnows and Road Runners. Bass are fair on spinner baits and plastic worms. Catfish are fair on chicken livers and goldfish in 8-15 feet of water.

TABLE ROCK As of Wednesday, the lake level was at 917.0 feet, or normal level.

Guide J.D. Fletcher said topwater action with bass is fair and improving early and late and on overcast days. There's also some action in the river arms on crank baits, spinner baits, buzz baits and jigs fished around main-lake and secondary points and boat docks. Otherwise, finesse worms rigged on shaky heads, split-shot or drop-shot rigs and spoons are producing good numbers of bass lakewide.

White bass continue to surface in big schools lakewide and are going for small topwaters and other shad-imitating lures.

Crappie remain fair on jigs and minnows fished 8-15 feet deep around standing timber and brush. Catfish are fair on trotlines or limb lines baited with small live bream, and bream aregood on crickets and worms.

West-Central Arkansas

ATKINS

Lucky Landing said the lake is high and muddy. All species are slow.

DARDANELLE

Spadra Marina said catfish are good on cut bream, worms and bass minnows. Bass are slow.

HINKLE

Bill's Bait Shop said the water is dingy and slightly high.

Bream and crappie are slow, but bass are good on crank baits and plastic worms fished along grassy banks. Catfish are good on worms and chicken livers.

OUACHITA

Mountain Harbor Resort said the lake is high and dingy with surface temperatures in the mid-70s. Bass are good on jigs fished 18-25 feet deeparound brush piles. Largemouths, spotted bass and whites are still surfacing and good on white Rooster Tails or topwaters.

Walleye are excellent on jigging spoons fished 16-24 feet deep on main-lake points or humps.

Stripers are fair on live shad or brood minnows. Bream are good on worms or crickets fished 18-25 feet deep. Crappie are fair at depths of 20-30 feet on minnows and jigs. Catfish are good on jugs or trotlines rigged with cut bait and on rods-and-reels with hot dogs or dough.

OZARK POOL

Lakeside Food Mart said the water is high and muddy. Bream are fair on worms and crickets. Crappie are fair on minnows and jigs. Bass are fair on crank baits. Catfish are good on worms, cut bait and minnows.
