POA announces board, committee vacancies

BELLA VISTA — The Bella Vista Village Property Owners Association seeks property owners to serve on its board of directors and several committees.

Applications for committee vacancies are available on the POA's Web site - http://www.bellavistapoa.com/board/committes/committeeapp. asp. Committee applications are also available at the front desk of the Bella Vista Country Club, 98 Clubhouse Drive, and at the Membership Services Department, 101 Town Center. Available positions include the following:

◊Golf Committee: One seat;

◊ Lakes Committee: Two seats;

◊Recreation Committee: One seat; and

◊Village Pride Committee: Two seats.

All applications must be returned to the Country Club by Nov. 20, a POA news release states. Applications will be reviewed and considered by POA Board Chairwoman Roberta Dale and POA General Manager Tommy Bailey.

Those selected will be announced at the Dec. 10 board meeting. The threeyear terms begin Jan. 1, 2010.

In addition, property owners interested in running for one of three seats on the board of directorsmay obtain a petition from POA corporate secretary Kathy Ferguson at the Bella Vista Country Club.

A property owner must collect 50 signatures of members in good standing in order to have his or her name placed on the association's ballot.

Petitions must be returned to Ferguson by Dec. 18. In the event there are not six candidates for the board, the deadline for the petitions to be submitted will be extended.

The three-year board terms begin in May 2010. Candidates will be announced at the Jan. 21, 2010, board meeting.
