Charity golf, tennis tourney planned

The Charity Challenge of Champions, a golf and tennis tournament supporting local charities, will be held Thursday through Monday at the Pinnacle Country Club in Rogers.

This year's tournament will benefit the Arkansas Crisis Center, the Crisis Center Foundation and scholarships for graduating seniors throughout Northwest Arkansas.

Events begin with player check-in from noon-5 p.m.

Thursday. An adult tennis clinic with the pros is set for 5-7 p.m. Thursday, followed by a VIP dinner at 7 p.m.

The adult tennis tournament is 8 a.m.-7 p.m. Friday and 8 a.m.-8 p.m. Saturday.

An auction, dinner and sponsor recognition party will be 6:30-11 p.m. Friday at the John Q. Hammons Center in Rogers, and the annual Party at the Courts, which concludes the yearly tennis tournament, is set for 7-11 p.m. Saturday at the country club.

Events conclude with the annual golf tournament, with tee times at 8 a.m. and 1 p.m. Monday.

The Pierre Chastain Family Association will hold its annual reunion Thursday, Friday and Saturday at the Siloam Springs Quality Inn.

The association was founded by descendants of Dr.

Pierre Chastain, a French Huguenot.

All Chastain descendants are welcome to attend. Association records will be available for research during the event.

Activities associated with the event include a walking tour of historic downtown Siloam Springs, a visit to the Siloam Springs Museum, a tour of Simon Sager's cabin and a visit to Fairmount Cemetery.

A barbecue will be held Friday at the home of J.D. Chastain. The Flint Hill Ramblers will perform.

The reunion will conclude Saturday with a banquet.
