New section of Scull Creek trail lighting completed

— The city of Fayetteville has completed lighting along Scull Creek Trail from Poplar Street south to North Street.

With the completion of this phase of trail lighting, Scull Creek Trail now has continuous lights for 2.7 miles from the north sideof the Fulbright Expressway south to just beyond North Street. The next phase of Scull Creek Trail lighting will extend from North Street to Maple Street.

The city is considering using LED lights on this next phase of trail lighting. Trail lights are on from 5:30 a.m. until daylight andfrom dark to 11 p.m. daily.

City employees ask that anyone noticing lights that are not working to report the outages to the parks and recreation department by visiting accessfayetteville.org and sending an e-mail through the Parks and Recreation page or by contacting the department at 444-3471.
