Submissions sought for film festival

The new 540 Film Fest is seeking shorts, music videos and full-length productions to screen during the inaugural festival, set for Nov. 5-8 in Fayetteville.

The grassroots festival will offer a $3,000 award for best practices in sustainable film-making. Submission deadline is Tuesday.

Volunteers also are needed to staff the event.
