— Ochocinco takes leap with faith

Chad Ochocinco made good on his promise. Sort of.

The flamboyant receiver got a chance to do a Lambeau Leap after catching a 13-yard touchdown pass in the third quarter of Cincinnati's 31-24 victory over the Green Bay Packers on Sunday, even if he did jump into a group of Bengals fans.

"It was pretty cool," he said. "I just wanted to really get the W. The W is the most important because if I leaped and we lost, it's all nullified, it all makes no sense. To be able to do what I do best, which is I'm always running my mouth and making the game fun."

Ochocinco reached the end zone and, after making sure a flag on the play was against the Packers, looked for a place to make his jump with about a half-dozen cameras following him.

He found a soft spot among three Bengals fans sitting together, one wearing a tiger-striped cheesehead in the first row of the northeast corner of the end zone.

He was coy with reporters afterward on whether the leap was coordinated before the game with those fans on Twitter.

"Shhh! I don't want you giving away my secrets," he said.

Detroit rocked

Detroit lost its 19th consecutive game to tie the second-longest skid in NFL history. The Chicago Cardinals in the 1940s and Oakland Raiders in 1960s also lost 19 in a row

Detroit, which became the NFL's first 0-16 team last season, is left hoping it doesn't approach Tampa Bay's record of 26 losses in a row set during the 1976-1977 seasons.

Quite an entrance

Former tight end Shannon Sharpe made a splashy entrance for his induction into the Denver Broncos' Ring of Fame, skydiving into the stadium in tandem with a professional parachuter.

Sharpe landed near the 10-yard line by the south end zone at Invesco Field before unhooking his harness and waving to the cheering crowd shortly before kickoff of the Broncos' game against Cleveland.

Empty feeling

About the only good news for the Jacksonville Jaguars (0-2) in Sunday's 31-17 loss to Arizona was that hardly anyone in Jacksonville, Fla., saw it.

The game was blacked out on local television, and the stands were about half full.

Iron man Favre

Brett Favre is thankful to still be playing and winning in the NFL.

Adding a league record to his overflowing collection is merely a bonus.

Favre set another mark with his 271st consecutive start in the regular season, then threw two touchdown passes to help Minnesota beat Detroit.

"Every game I play in at this point, I'm pretty grateful," Favre, 39, said. "I know how difficult it is." Sidelined
