An equal exchange

— Not too long ago, Pope Benedict XVI met President Barack H. Obama at the Vatican-shortly after the pope had issued his encyclical on economics. According to the usual press release after such visits, pope and president covered a wide array of topics and were suitably impressed with each other. The general impression some of us came away with after the meeting between these two world leaders, one each spiritual and secular, is that the pope discussing matters economic is as convincing as the president discussing matters religious.
