ROGERS — Developers, startup enthusiasts, marketing gurus, graphic artists and legal minds are invited to the first Northwest Arkansas Startup Weekend on the University of Arkansas Global Campus in Rogers on Oct. 2-4.
The weekend is presented by Rockfish Interactive,a digital media company based in Rogers.
Startup Weekend is a 54-hour event held in cities worldwide to encourage and incubate business propositions and startup projects, a news release states. Typically held in cities such as Seattle, Startup Weekend fits in areas known for a critical mass of technologyinfrastructure, emerging talent and entrepreneurial spirit.
Throughout the weekend, attendees with diverse backgrounds and skill sets will pitch, tweak and solidify business propositions, often resulting in half a dozen viable projects that teams may pursue beyond the weekend.
