HONOLULU — La'Shara Komika Doss became the bride of Marvin LeMonte Davenport at sunset Monday, Sept. 14, at Waialae Beach Park. The Rev. Mike Nelson of Evangelical Christian Church officiated.
The bride is the daughter of Sharron Pettus Doss of Little Rock and Larome Anthony Doss of Maumelle. Her grandparents are Ruby Louise Lawrence Shipley of St. Louis; O.D.
Doss of Pasadena, Calif.; and Thelma L. and the late Jake V. Johnson, also of Little Rock.
The bridegroom's parents are Mary Watson of Austell, Ga., and Ottaway Davenport III of Lawton, Okla. He is the grandson of Lucille and M.C. Quinesberry and Mary Davenport and the late Ottaway Davenport II, all of Kansas City, Mo.
The bride wore an ivory gown featuring apleated sweetheart neckline, dropped waistline and Tiffany train. She carried a bouquet of cymbidium orchids.
A reception is planned for Oct. 2 at the Fayetteville Town Center.
The bride has a bachelor's degree in journalism from the University of Arkansas and a master's degree in public administration from Webster University. She is an assistant buyer for Sam's Club.
The bridegroom has a bachelor's degree in management information systems from the University of Oklahoma at Norman and is a senior manager of diversity initiatives and analysis in the Office of Diversity for Wal-Mart Stores Inc.
After a wedding trip to Hawaii, the couple reside in Rogers.
