Hernandez, Huston to wed

— Perla Corina Hernandez and Dennis Ross Huston, both of Garfield, are pleased to announce their engagement and approaching marriage.

The couple plan to marry at 2:30 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 26, 2009, at New Prospect Baptist Church in Garfield.

Hernandez is the daughter of Victor and Rosa Ramirez of Garfield. She is the granddaughter of Martha Bray of Garfield and the late Rodden Bray. She is a graduate of Pea Ridge High School. She is employed as a receptionist for Bentonville Medical Associates.

Huston is the son of Douglas and Rae Huston of Garfield. He is a graduate of Pea Ridge High School. He is employed as a yard driver for a Wal-Mart Warehouse.

Whitaker, Stokes engaged

Amy Colleen Whitaker of Pea Ridge and Preston Earl Stokes of Greenland are pleased to announce their engagement and approaching marriage.

The couple plan to marry at 5 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 3, 2009, at Bella Vista Lutheran Church.

Whitaker is the daughter of Rick and Linda Whitaker. She is the granddaughter of Betty Sanders of Pea Ridge and the late Herman Sanders, and the late Ben and Ellen Whitaker. She is a 2002 graduate of Pea Ridge High School. She is employed with Rogers Family Practice.

Stokes is the son of Earl and DeAnna Stokes of Greenland. He is the grandson of Max and Mary Moore of Fayetteville, Clyde and Linda Stokes of Fayetteville and Colleen Stokes of Greenland. He is a 2002 graduate of Greenland High School. He served in the U.S. Army from 2003 to 2006. He is employed with Anderson Heat and Air.

Semsrott, Shasteen wed

Danielle Marie Semsrott and Sean David Shasteen, both of Bentonville, were married at 2 p.m. Saturday, June 27, 2009, at Lakeside Wedding in Las Vegas, Nev., by the Rev. Carl J. Allen.

The bride is the daughter of Cheryl and Dave Semsrott of St. Louis, Mo.

The groom is the son of Connie and John Shasteen of Rogers.

The bride was escorted by her father, Dave Semsrott. She wore a white charmeuse, tea-length, strapless gown with a floral overlay.

She carried a bouquet of white roses and pink stargazer lilies.

Becky Welter, sister of the bride of Colorado Springs, Colo., served as matron of honor.

Jessica Thomure of St. Louis, Mo., served as maid of honor.

The attendants wore black dresses.

Dave Eastmade of Bentonville served as best man.

Josh Beye of Brick, N.J., served as groomsman.

Ring bearers were Michael Welter and Matthew Welter, nephews of the bride of Colorado Springs.

A reception was held Saturday, Aug. 22, at the Victory Theater in Rogers.

After a wedding trip to Las Vegas, Nev., the couple will live in Bentonville.
