NOTEWORTHY DEATH

Neo-conservative, publisher Kristol WASHINGTON - Irving Kristol, the political writer and publisher known as the godfather of neo-conservatism whose youthful radicalism evolved into an emphatic rejection of communism and the counterculture, died Friday. He was 89.
