Brand, NCAA president, dead at 67

Myles Brand, the former Indiana University president, became the first former university president to lead the NCAA, college sports' largest governing body. Brand, 67, died Wednesday afternoon.

NCAA President Myles Brand, who while leading Indiana University fired basketball Coach Bob Knight, died Wednesday afternoon from pancreatic cancer. He was 67.
