Beebe voices faith in teacher-retirement system's chief

Gov. Mike Beebe declined Wednesday to say whether he agrees with the head of the state teacher-pension system's backing down on efforts to collect possibly overly generous retirement payments. Beebe said he doesn't know all the details but generally has faith in George Hopkins, executive director of the Arkansas Teachers Retirement System.
