Patience propels Lady Bulldogs

Fayetteville's Maggie Pickhardt, right, out sprints Van Buren's Ashley Myers at the finish line of the Elkins Cross Country Invitational on Saturday in Elkins. Pickhardt finished second in the 7A division with a time of 20:37.1 and led Fayetteville to a first-place team finish.
The Fayetteville Lady Bulldogs traversed a muddy course Saturday morning to win the Class 7A division of the Elkins Cross Country Invitational.
