Denying raise is unfair Just to enlighten some people about the Social Security benefits that the disabled and elderly receive, I'd just like everyone to know that virtually every cent recipients get goes back into the economy or government coffers in the form of real estate taxes in the hundreds; sales taxes on utilities, new and used cars, and anything we buy in a store; personal property taxes; home repairs; medical expenses; car, house and health insurance; and groceries.
