Burned woman able to speak one month later

FORT SMITH — Authorities are still looking for the boyfriend of a Sebastian County woman who was covered with gasoline and set on fire last month.
The victim, Petrina Mendez, was burned on Aug. 9 and was in critical condition. Only now has she recovered enough to be able to speak to a sheriff's investigator.
Officials say the boyfriend was a suspect from the start because Mendez told a dispatcher he had attacked her. Deputies say the boyfriend is 32-year-old Rigoberto Saenz, though he goes by several names and travels, working as a roofer.
