3rd Friday in Rogers

The Rogers Historic District will host the 3rd Friday Twilight Walk on Sept. 18. The new Butterfly/Hummingbird Park at First and Cherry streets will be dedicated at 5 p.m. Along with the festivities, many merchants will be open, artists will be on hand, and specialty groups will be featured, along with members from the farmers market. Three Rogers church youth groups will combine their forces and collect food for the Northwest Arkansas Food Bank. In conjunction with the event, merchants will hold a 3rd Friday Twilight Walk Raffle. Downtown merchants have donated more than $2,250 in gift certificates as prizes for the monthly drawings. The drawings are at 7:30 p.m. from the Frisco Stage each third Friday night, with four monthly winners, each winning at least $100 worth of gift certificates, plus a chance for the final drawing in October for a minimum $500 cash prize. Proceeds will be used to promote the Rogers Historic District. Tickets are $1 each or six for $5.
