Never forget : Area citizens mark eighth anniversary of 9/11

Gary Wellesley of Rogers Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 3031 released a basket of white doves during a 9/11 memorial ceremony at Veterans Park in Rogers on Friday morning.
Friday was filled with a day of salutes, heartfelt speeches and tears as the country marked the eighth anniversary of the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks on the United States.
