Sen. Blanche Lincoln waits to speak Wednesday after being named chairman of the Senate Agriculture Committee.
Sen. Blanche Lincoln became chairman of the Senate Agriculture Committee on Wednesday, making her both the first woman and the first Arkansan to lead the panel, which has jurisdiction over policy touching much of America, including federal commodity payments, rural development, conservation and nutrition programs.
