Attendance at Lincoln schools tops 1,300

Attendance in the school district is higher than last year and greater than 1,300 students, Superintendent Frank Holman told the Lincoln School Board Wednesday.

Neglected dogs up for adoption soon

Savanna Bluff, with the Wedington Animal Hospital, pets a Great Pyrenees named Roxie on Wednesday. Roxie is staying at the hospital with 15 other dogs who were rescued from a home in Madison County. The hospital is treating the dogs for various medical conditions, and the Humane Society of the Ozarks is looking for homes for the animals. The dogs should be available for adoption in two weeks.
