The opening reception for artist Michael Nichols' 'Figures in Flux' at John Brown University in Siloam Springs on Sept. 1 quickly filled up with faculty and students.

From the growth of the annual Bentonville ArtWalk to the continued success and rumored expansion of the Walton Arts Center, the arts are certainly alive and well in northwest Arkansas.

Off and running Run for a Child more than 1,0...

Hundreds of people participated in the 5K race at the sixth annual Run for a Child at the Pinnacle Hills Promenade in Rogers on Monday. The event helped raise funds for emergency shelters that care for abused and neglected children, as well as prevention programs that reduce abuse and neglect in the country. The race committee hoped to raise $200,000 to benefit the Northwest Arkansas Children's Shelter.
