Running backs play a secondary role

Arkansas' Michael Smith runs for a touchdown during the first quarter of the Hogs' 48-10 win over Missouri State at War Memorial Stadium in Little Rock on Saturday. Smith and the Razorbacks' running backs played a secondary role to the passing game in the season opener.

Arkansas quarterback Ryan Mallett didn't disappoint in his first game as a Razorback and, along with backup Tyler Wilson, set the school record for passing yards in a single game during the Hogs' 48-10 win over Missouri State.
