ENGAGEMENTS : Burks-Burns

LITTLE ROCK — Maranda Lee Burks and Jeffrey Allen Burns, both of West Fork, plan to marry at 4 p.m. Sept. 19, 2009, at Agri Park in Fayetteville.
The bride-elect is the daughter of Marlene and Elmer Burks of Prairie Grove. She is the granddaughter of the late Chole and Jesse Burks, the late Gerald Hamilton and the late Gladys V. Hamilton.
She is employed in the accounts receivable department at Flynt & Son Hardwood in Fayetteville.
The prospective groom is the son of Jean and Steve Burns of Fayetteville. He is the grandson of the late Maxine and James Burns and the late Bonnie and Jack Craighead.
He is an animal control officer for the city of Fayetteville.
