Lockdown lifted at Pea Ridge schools

— A steady stream of parents has been making its way to Pea Ridge Middle School which was on lockdown Thursday morning. Superintendent Michael Van Dyke confirmed a threat prompted a lockdown at all three schools from 9-11 a.m. Police have not yet commented on the threat but have apparently detained one person. Police did confirm no children were injured. The district's elementary and high school have returnedto normal operations. Classes have resumed at the middle school, but the doors are locked. Parents have been asked to report to the adjacent administration building to withdraw their children.
